Touchy touchy! I mean, I know Katherine experienced her village being laid to waste and family members killed, IIRC, by the Red Hemlock, but she seems a bit manic. I’m afraid that nothing Zoana could say or do would change Katherine’s opinion of her (daughter of Red Hemlock or not, or Hemlock levels of evil or not), and that the conflict will get messy and dangerous.

hm, this makes me think zoana really is the red hemlock. or was, better said. an alchemical transmutation went wrong and he turned himself into her. probably altered her personality too, without affecting her memory. which explains her extensive knowledge in alchemy.

earlier elle asked about the philosopher’s stone and zoana deflected, so maybe it has something to do with that. hemlock looked for eternal life/rejuvenation and instead gave birth to zoana.

from the sounds of it ,, Kathrine knew Red,, up to (if not including ) intimate.. she knows him so well that she can recognize his mannerisms in others…
so im guessing ,, Zoana has to figure out “WHY” … why was village an family destroyed,,, betrayal? jilted love? ..???
ok , Red killed before.. but that was one on one (usually),, Why all of a sudden (when he knew what would happen.) did he wipe out HER village, an HER family.? this became personal.!!
that is the million dollar question.. “Why”
